Know the LIGHTED LENGTH You Need

Everyone's home has unique needs and sizes. Measure the length of where you want to display your icicle lights and then determine how many feet of lights you need. Kringle Traditions light sets are designed with either 5.5 ft. or 8.5 ft. of lighted length. You can connect up to 5 sets end-to-end of the 5.5' set and 3 sets end-to-end of the 8.5' set. This means you can display about 25 ft. worth of incandescent icicle lights end-to-end from one plug outlet.

Shaping Your Icicle Light Drops

Icicle lights feature drops that hang at different lengths to create a unique icicle pattern. Icicle lights have natural bends in the wiring and they are tightly packed to keep them safe for shipping. When you get ready to hang your lights, remove them from the package and then straighten the drops to your liking to achieve the look you want.

LED vs Incandescent

Color Options

Kringle Traditions white icicle lights have a clear white color created by an incandescent filament. The color is warmer than LED cool white but not as warm as LED warm white, which makes it the perfect in-between color. It is the hue most commonly associated with traditional incandescent Christmas lights.

Icicle Lights for Bigger Displays?

Incandescent icicle lights are a great option for smaller light displays up to around 25 ft. in length. If your display is longer than that, you either need to plan on using extra plug outlets and extension cords or switching to LED icicle lights. LED icicle lights use far less energy and significantly more sets can be connected end-to-end, which makes larger displays much easier.

Icicle lights are most commonly hung from gutters and roof lines. In order to create clean light displays that are easy to install, most professionals use special icicle light clips. The clips are designed to be used on gutter edges or slid beneath shingles. The clips do not require staples or nails and they are highly recommended as an installation accessory.
